Looking for Credits for your Startup
I started the startup in May. It seems that one of the main problem for startups is that we are missing funds, credits, feedbacks, and customers. I hope to draft a personal reference for those who might experience same problem as I am, and also share the journey I have, including some ways to ‘hack’ through the system to get credits and funds to kick off the project.
I am still far off having a successful startup, but I hope that people could spend less time to struggles as I am.
Credits
Go there and sign up. Don’t hesitate. It’s completely FREE, and if you finish 4 weekly updates and 3 group sessions, you can unlock:
$5000 AWS credits
$3000 Google Credits
$4000 Freshwork Credits
$30000 Segment Credits
and many more…
It had helped us tremendously in the startup process and enable us to make a working MVP. In addition, YC videos can help you to learn a lot on the startup process.
Feedbacks
You can get face to face weekly feedbacks from 3 other startups on your idea. My personal experience with it is great. Other founders help to point me out idea or product’s weakness and strength, and in addition they might test out the product and point out problems one never noticed.
Furthermore, you can know startup friends around the world, and they also might know some offers you never would think of from others. By participating in weekly call, we received decent feedbacks.
2. Pioneer
This is a virtual accelerator program, so if you are selected you might get a lot of good offers. However, I am not going to recommend on the accelerator aspect but on the feedback part.
As a founder I received pathetic number of feedbacks on what we are doing when we started. I joined it without knowing anything, but after completion of basic info, my weekly updates received surprising amount of feedbacks (normally 7–10) from participants. They will comment on whether they understand what you do (your pitch), to website (and how to improve it), and even product (some might try it out). Those feedbacks helped me to adjust my website, pitch, marketing, methods to find interviews, resources, and many other aspects. Since they don’t know you, they will give you brutal but honest feedbacks on what you do, which for sure is better than my mom’s feedbacks.
Those are my main tools to help me survive till today. I might keep update more tools. Hope it helps and good luck on your startup!
